The biennial DPVA Designers’ Show House never disappoints. Once again, this well-respected fundraising event offered up a bevy of interior design ideas. In fact, bedrooms played a big role in this year’s show, which took place at the Delco Lofts in downtown Dayton. Where dreams are made
Follow where your dreams take you in this bedroom retreat from Jane Barlow and Vicki Saunders. An oversized, artistic headboard complete with backlighting encourages rest and relaxation.

Uptown chic
In an effort to allow the massive windows to take center stage, interior designer Jackie Dunn opted for a low profile platform bed with a minimalist headboard in this master bedroom. A bold striped area rug draw eyes in to the sleek bedding that establishes the urban loft aesthetic.

The right height
The height of the headboard in this bedroom, created by the interior design team at Luken Interiors, complements the tall ceilings seen throughout the Delco Lofts. The gray and white plaid print is the perfect complement to the rich navy blue walls.

Reflections of style
Thinking outside of the box, the design team at Centerville Design Associates utilized a grid mirror as the headboard in this bedroom. The reflection is different at every turn thanks to a mixture of patterned accent pillows, a beautiful dresser at the foot of the bed, and colorful wall art.

Show-stopping pattern
Talk about making a statement. Debbie Basnett of Vintage Scout Interiors created the ultimate focal point when she covered the wall behind the bed with Schumacher’s Shanghai Peacock wallcovering. The beautiful pattern was carried over to two throw pillows in order to tie the entire space together.

Sleek and sophisticated is the name of the game in this elegant master bedroom designed by Today’s Home Interiors. Shades of gray, including the dark steel gray fabric headboard, complement the metal poster bed positioned in the center of the room.
