This June, ten incredible homes opened their doors to thousands of visitors who were ready to be inspired. Always a great source for fresh design ideas, this year’s HOMEARAMA® did not disappoint. We’ve picked a few of our favorite trends, each with elements that could easily be used to add a bit of HOMEARAMA® drama to your own home.
Walls of illusion
Even if someone tells you these walls are covered in wallpaper, you’ll still want to run your hands over the brick, tile, copper and tin surfaces to see faux yourself.

Back in black
Accent walls covered in black tile or shiplap, black cabinetry, black and white wallpaper, and black windows made a dramatic statement at 2018’s farmhouse-rich show. The hue’s presence was strong again this year.

Outdoor easy
It’s a fine line—and sometimes no line at all—that separates indoor living spaces with open-air gathering spots. Glass walls disappear and screen shades are imperceptible allowing for an easy flow for both air and guests.

Weave it in
Macramé wall hangings were hanging out in a couple of this year’s homes as a clear sign that woven fabrics, rugs and accessories are back in a big way.

In working color
Let’s face it. If work calls and you have to step away from the family for a bit, you might as well make the experience as pleasant as possible. Bring your study to life with walls painted in rich hues.
