Step aside stainless steel. Honey Yellow and her friends are in town.
While those of us who follow kitchen design have watched all white or all wood kitchens slowly being replaced with two-or sometimes three-tone variations, appliances, by in large, have steadily stayed dressed in stainless steel.
But now, daring designers and homeowners are putting the pedal to the metal in the kitchen—in the form of colorful appliances—and manufacturers have plenty of choices in the pipeline.
Take for example, the aforementioned Honey Yellow. That hue, selected by BlueStar’s designer Tineke Triggs, is the manufacturer’s Color of the Year for 2024. Triggs says the color is cheerful and creative and brings an added sense of joy to kitchens.
Honey Yellow is one of five colors chosen for BlueStar’s winter color palette which includes Cool Silk Grey, Pigeon Blue, Copper Brown and Highlands Green. If those don’t suit your style, BlueStar appliances will customize from a selection of over 1,000 colors. bluestarcooking.com
