Most interior designers will tell you that the little things often make the biggest impact. Just like selecting the perfect pair of shoes to complete a favorite outfit, cabinet hardware can change the entire look of a bathroom. Styles and trends in bathroom hardware run the gamut, from rustic pulls to colorful knobs. Here is a handful that caught our eyes.
From funky to functional, Atlas Homewares offers a plethora of pulls and numerous knobs from which to choose. New this year is the Dream Glass Collection, available in a variety of colors, shapes and patterns, such as the Emerald Polka Dot Square glass knob.
One of their other eye-catching offerings is the Zebra Round glass knob with polished chrome or matte black fittings.
The Bollywood Beauties Collection of beaded weave knobs comes in an array of colors, adding a little bling to a bathroom space.
Also new is the refined look of the new Solange Bath Collection. Designed to give a bathroom a hotel-inspired look, the glistening hardware comes in polished chrome nickel or brushed nickel.
Knobs in Schaub & Company’s Symphony Collection feature an iridescent mother-of-pearl design that dresses up any bathroom. For example, the Fair Isle pulls are three interlinking circles with jewel tones.
The round jade and mother-of-pearl knobs in a dark green wash are from its Heirloom Treasures Collection.
The curvaceous Pirouette Knob from Restoration Hardware is aptly named, conjuring up images of a twirling dancer.
Octagonal, colored glass knobs come in traditional green, traditional violet, traditional amber or traditional black.
Top Knobs has a variety of closet knobs and handle pulls, from the ornate Chateau Collection.
One of their other outstadning offerings is the sleek Nouveau Collection. In all, the company manufactures six decorative bath hardware collections in eight finishes, all meant to coordinate with hooks, towel bars, and even faucets and cabinetry.
Amerock makes a line of oversized knobs in a multitude of shapes and styles sure to complement any décor.
For example, the interlocking designs of the Lattice Collection, or knobs from the whimsical Swirl’Z Collection, shown here, make a bold statement in any bathroom.
Amerock introduces two new finishes this year that capitalize on the popularity of bronze. The smooth caramel bronze finish is available exclusively in just a few of their lines, including the Candler Collection of decorative cabinet hardware. The silver and gold-toned brushed bronze finish is also only available in limited brands, such as the Arrondi Bath Collection, shown here.
While it’s a popular trend, bronze is not the only option. Although oil-rubbed bronze is an option in most of their drawer pulls and knobs, the traditional and glistening look of polished chrome is alive and well at Restoration Hardware, along with polished nickel and satin nickel.
A line of graphite knobs, such as the Dakota Square knob, in a choice of soft iron, burnished amber, rustic pewter, or chestnut, rounds out this year’s collection.
For bathroom drawer pulls, Atlas Homewares contributes antique bronze that features a distressed look, as well as a more rustic burnished bronze to the popular category.
